The Reason for the Season
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FRESH NORDSTROM TREE
When you bring your tree home, set it up as soon as possible. If your tree sits for more than 2-3 hours without water, you will need to cut about an inch off the bottom of the trunk before placing it in your stand. By having a freshly sawn stump, your tree will be able to absorb adequate water.
Regular watering is critical. A fresh fir tree can consume over a gallon of water in 24 hours!
Check water levels twice a day until you get a feel for how quickly it’s absorbing water.
Never let the water level go below your tree’s base.
If possible, keep your tree away from heating vents or other heat sources, as this will potentially dry out your tree quicker.
